Mycelial Structures
For orchestra and electronics, based on mycelial organizational systems.
Mycelial Structures is a work for orchestra and electronics that draws on the principles of interconnection, cooperation, and propagation found in mycelial networks, understood as alternative models of organization, circulation, and listening.
The piece was commissioned by Periféricos: Encuentro de Comunicación de las Artes y la Cultura, organized by the Escuela de Artes de Jalisco, the ETIUS Observatory, and the MA in Communication and Culture at Universidad ITESO.
It premiered on October 2, 2025, at the Black Box venue of Universidad ITESO, performed by the Orquesta Típica de Guadalajara under the direction of Maestro René Nuño.
